A Delicious Sweet Potato Pie Recipe

I remember exactly the first time I tried this unique sweet potato pie recipe and immediately fell in love. My kids ask for it all the time and it is so easy and quick to make.

A sweet potato pie is an unusual, but very tasty and aromatic dish that will easily decorate your table – whether you are serving it for breakfast, lunch or a festive dinner. Thanks to the sweet potato, this savory vegan sweet potato pie acquires an original flavor, accentuated by spices like black pepper and thymes.

Making this vegan sweet potato pie recipe will not be difficult even for a beginner who has never cooked pies before, since this recipe doesn’t require making crust or dough. All we need to cook this delicious, simple pie is just a few ingredients.

Work time: 20 minutes

Preparation time: up to 1 hour.

Ingredients:

3 medium size sweet potatoes

2 eggs

50 gr of melted butter or margarine

1 cup of flour

1/2 cup of water

Salt

Pepper

Thymes (not necessary)

Preparation:

  1. Peel the sweet potatoes by slicing them into thin strips with your peeler.
  2. Fry the onions until the obtain a golden color
  3. Preheat your oven to 356°F or 180°C.
  4. Add the onions flour, water, butter (or margarine), eggs, salt, pepper and thyme to sweet potatoes and mix everything in a large bowl.
  5. Pour the mixture into a pan or a baking form and bake for about 25-30 minutes until your sweet potato pie becomes slightly golden.
